Charging and Battery

The LED logo pulses rapidly when nearly empty, glows in-and-out while charging, and turns solid when fully charged. Battery percentage also displays in the Activity tab's top-right corner of the HELIOS App.

Mounting

Both mounts secure reliably. The Twist Mount uses specially engineered tape and adhesive that withstands impacts while remaining peelable. The Strap Mount uses hook-and-loop attachment around center shoulder-pad pillars.

Metrics

The Core doesn't track HR independently but connects to compatible HR devices, combining HR data with skating metrics in the app through Settings > Devices setup.

The Hustle Score measures effort during specific sessions (Low, Avg, High) by comparing data to individual baseline models, typically appearing after 5โ10 sessions of baseline development.

Nightly cloud processes compare individual performance data against all players in the same birth year to determine relative standings across each metric.

HELIOS tracks Speed, Explosiveness, Agility, and Balance with progress-over-time and birth-year rankings. Additional metrics include Shift Analysis, Hustle Score, Stride Count, Active Time, and Heart Rate when compatible devices connect.

The proprietary Stride Recognition Technology uses machine learning trained on thousands of skating hours to identify left and right strides, eliminating infrastructure requirements.
Helios App

Bluetooth proximity is only needed to start, stop, and sync sessions. The Core stores data locally during skating, allowing phones to remain elsewhere like locker rooms.

The Leaderboard ranks players weekly, monthly, and all-time using points from session completion and performance comparisons against individual baselines. Points compute automatically during syncing alongside the Hustle Score.

Membership

No minimum exists, though the technology is recommended for players aged 9+. Users under 13 require parent/guardian verification and consent during app signup.

Three PRO membership options are available through the website or retail partners: Pure Hockey (US) or Pro Hockey Life (Canada). Each includes the HELIOS Core device.

Monthly requires first month payment upfront with 7-month commitment minimum; one annual pause allowed up to 5 months. The 12-month option requires full-year upfront payment with permanent hardware ownership. The 24-month requires two-year upfront payment with permanent hardware ownership.

PRO 12 and 24-month memberships activate upon first device session. Monthly memberships begin when hardware delivery is confirmed, then bill monthly thereafter. Gift memberships don't activate until the player begins using the device.
Shipping

Orders process in received sequence unless expedited shipping is selected. Orders received before 2pm EST typically ship same or next business day. Tracking information is emailed when shipping labels generate.

HELIOS ships directly to customers in the United States and Canada, with future expansion plans for Europe.
Returns

Email support@helioshockey.com to modify orders. Once shipped, changes cannot be made and a new order must be placed instead.

Customers may request returns within 30 days of ship date. Products must be returned in original packaging with all documentation in received condition to be eligible for refund.
