Introducing the Helios Core™

Powering Zero-Infrastructure Performance Tracking and Benchmarking

[PORTSMOUTH, July 29, 2021] —

Today Helios Sports, Inc. (“Helios”) announced the launch of the Helios CoreTM, a wearable performance sensor that uses proprietary machine learning technology to track, benchmark and gamify athlete performance.

“The Core is at the heart of Helios’ performance benchmarking and improvement solution for the broad sports market where positional infrastructure investment is cost prohibitive and prevents mass adoption,” says Bill Near, Helios’ Founder and CEO. “We are initially focused on bringing this next-generation smart technology and performance improvement solution to hockey players at every level.”

Helios’ first product is a membership that includes access to the Helios platform for six months and a Helios CoreTM trained with Stride Recognition Technology that uniquely identifies left and right skating stride. Developing hockey players gain a competitive edge by closing the feedback loop on key skating attributes including Explosiveness, Agility, Speed and Balance. The Helios mobile app delivers real-time and post-session insights including benchmark skill ratings by age group, progress over time and a community for gamified development.

The Helios CoreTM received regulatory certification from the FCC/IC earlier this year and will be initially available in North America. Domestic device production is based at contract manufacturing partners in New Hampshire where Helios is headquartered.

The Helios Membership that includes the Helios CoreTM will be available at select locations of retail partner Pure Hockey this Fall 2021.
